It's gruesome and ghastly, it's spooky and sinister.... A twisted treat for kids of all ages, it's our Raw Chocolate Halloween Fondue!
Ingredients
- 1 large pumpkin
- 60-70g Elements for Life raw cacao butter (grated or finely chopped)
- 50g Elements for Life raw cacao powder
- 2-3 tbsp of Sweet Freedom
- Fruit cut into chunks
Equipment
- 1 large heatproof bowl (preferably glass)
- A pairing knife
- Fondue forks or skewers
- Tealight
Method
In true Halloween style, the process goes something like:
- Take one large pumpkin, preferably one that's done no harm to anyone and was just sat around minding its own business
- Lop the top off the poor thing
- Cruelly scoop out the innards
- Carve a gruesome face
- Place a burning torch, well a tea light, inside the hollowed-out skull
- Then without the decency to replace the poor wretches top, stick a heatproof bowl in the gaping hole instead (make sure the flame doesn't get too close to the bottom)
- Next, add the raw cacao butter to the bowl and allow it to melt slowly
- Add the raw cacao powder and stir in well, as if you're making a Witches brew
- Add the Sweet Freedom, stir it in really well and taste it to make sure it's sweet enough for you. Add extra if needed
Once your chocolate is melted and mixed, get dipping some fruit and enjoying the silky smooth raw chocolate while it's still warm and runny
Apologies to the graphic nature of this post, but we can assure you that all pumpkins were consenting adults!
Sweet Dreams!
