Drippy, sensual and free-from cacao fudge sauce. You need this in your life. Don't believe us? Read on to see how simple and quick this recipe is.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of cold coconut cream, from the fridge
- 1-2 tbsp of Sweet Freedom syrup (alternatively maple syrup, raw honey or your favourite syrup sweetener), depending on desired sweetness
- 40g of Elements for Life raw cacao powder
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 30g of Elements for Life raw cacao paste
Method
-
In a small pan, over a low heat, melt all the ingredients together apart from the raw cacao paste and vanilla extract until a sauce forms. It will look quite watery at first but it will thicken as it cools down considerably. Take it off the heat and allow to cool for a minute.
-
Once the sauce is off the heat slowly whisk in the raw cacao paste buttons (or finely chopped up raw cacao paste if bought in chunks) and vanilla extract and the sauce will thicken up further. Leave to cool completely before decanting into your serving jug, this will take about an hour or so. This cacao fudge sauce can be enjoyed warm up in a pan or cold depending on the season! This sauce also freezes well so would be suitable for a make ahead dessert.
