FAQ

Not at all. You just need a few everyday kitchen basics; a saucepan, a bowl, a spoon, and a spatula. That's it. No specialist tools required, which is part of what makes making your own raw chocolate at home so enjoyable.

The kit will make two batches of delicious raw chocolates, each batch being 15 individual chocolates.

Plus there's extra for licking the bowl out for the chef!

It depends on how much Sweet Freedom you add and your own taste preference. Typically, homemade raw chocolate falls somewhere between 70% and 90% cacao. The beauty of making your own is that you get to decide exactly how sweet or intense you like it.

Absolutely. All of our raw chocolate ingredients are available to order directly from our website, in a range of sizes to suit how much you make. You'll also find extra moulds and other essentials.

Yes. All our cacao is tested and meets the requirements for UK/EU legislation.

Cadmium occurs naturally in soil and is present in trace amounts in most cacao worldwide. Research from WHO and FAO has found that cocoa products are actually a minor source of dietary cadmium compared to staple foods like grains, potatoes and vegetables.

All our cacao and other ingredients are actually certified organic at the point we buy them, but as we've not been through the costly certification process, we're unable to actively promote it as such. We typically use the "agrochemical free" wording, though sometimes do say grown to organic standards.
