Raw Cacao Butter
Cacao butter is the pale yellow, edible vegetable fat extracted from the cacao bean and is one of the 3 ingredients in our Raw Chocolate Making Kit. It has a wide range of uses, from food to cosmetics, but of course our favourite use is in making tasty raw chocolates.
Our raw cacao butter is extracted using a cold-press method, so retains as much of it's natural goodness as possible. It's best stored in a cool dark dry place, where it will keep for more than a year. In the warmer summer months it may become softer but should not melt completely except in very warm conditions.
When melting cacao butter for your raw chocolates, do so slowly over a low heat, to preserve the nutrients within.
